of AMCO
AMCO,
a collection society, authered to manage the public broadcasting and the
public presentation of adviovisual works, and to collect royalties for the
copyright owners.

Sponsors
The sponsors of AMCO all are the adviovisial works owners in our country.

Organization
The
highest authority mechanism of AMCO is the Membership Meeting, whose major
duty is concluding and modifying the regulations of AMCO, supervising the
execution of diresctors and resolving the important matters about the
rights and obligations of members, etc..
Under
the Membership Meeting, there is the Board of Directors, whose major duty
is deciding the summon matters of Membership Meeting, and establishing the
Board of Supervisor to supervise directors' works, to examine the annual
accounting settlement, and other supervising matters.
According
to the decision of Membership Meeting, there is one
CEO to manage AMCO's affairs. Under
CEO, the
following departments deal with AMCO official affairs, like Legal Dept.,
Royalty Admin. Dept., MIS Dept., Accounting Dept. and Secretariat Dept..
The
establishment of Complainant Committee is to examine the shares of
royalties and solving the disputes of rights and obligations of members.

General Situation
Considering
the systems of other countries and the condition of every user in Taiwan,
we set up the royalty system. After collecting the royalties and deducting
necessary cost of administration , AMCO
distributes the royalties to members according to the ratio users
report.
At present, the authorized users of AMCO are
TTV(Taiwan Television Enterprise,Ltd.), CTV(China Television Company),
CTS(Chinese Television System), etc.

Why
Must Contract with AMCO？
According
to the Copyright Law of Taiwan, the adviovisual works have the public
broadcasting rights and the public presentation rights. The owners of
these rights entitle to get the royalties from people who use the works.
For
example : The behaviors of Chennal TV are public broadcasting. In aircraft
or in the public place, using MTV on the wall TV is public presentation.
If the users use the products of AMCO's members for public broadcasting,
or public presentation, they must contract AMCO.

to Be Authorized by AMCO ?
Please
contact the Legal Department of AMCO, asking and filling in the Using
Application Form of Audiovisual Works.
